I'm looking for people who would be willing to share their old pictures of Kayenta for the benefit of future generations. If you want to share a story with your picture that would be awesome. With you pictures please include the date of the picture.
Below is a list of pictures we're looking:
1) Kayenta's Old U.S. Post Office when it was in operation, inside and/or outside pictures.
2) El Capitan Cafe during the 1980s.
3) Blue Coffee Pot when it was a trailer.
4) Circle K store/gas station.
5) Last Chance Gas Station, in the area where burger king now sits.
6) Old Elementary School in the 70s or earlier.
7) Bashas' before it was built.
8) Roland's Bed and Breakfast
9) The old motel behind the old Kayenta Trading Post.
10) Kayenta Motors or Pete's Garage, across from the Old Kayenta trading post.
11) Tom's Feed Store
12) Radio Shack when at Tom's feed store.
13) Kayenta when it only had a two lane highway through it.
14) Burches' Trading Post.
15) Doxol or Doxxon (?) Butane Supply Station, near Golden Sands Cafe.
16) Old road by Golden Sands Cafe.
17) Old High School when it was hogan
18) Old K.U.S.D. Swimming Pool
19) Schrader Park
20) Kayenta Flea Market when it use to be held behind the Old Post Office.
21) Small store that close to the Elementary School in the late 70s and early 80s.
22) Old Chevron Gas Station with Two Bay Garage.
23) Thriftway (Now Conoco)
24) Linville Coin Operated Laundry, Hair Salon, T'Shirt Store.
25) Kayenta Trading Post (in the 70s or earlier)
26) Rodeo at the Old Rodeo Grounds (Now Teehindeeh Estates)
27) Norwest Bank before Wells Fargo Bought It.
28) Old Prosecutors Office Trailer
29) Old Bank before it was the Prosecutors Office
